My first blog post!
This is my favorite time of the year - September, back to school, new clothes, new backpacks. It's a time of change and new beginnings. I don't know if it's because I'm going back to school (graduate) or because my daughter is starting school, but this year definitely feels exciting.
In the spirit of new beginnings, I tried out another new yoga studio. Since moving to southern NH last fall, I have tried several new studios. Each one was good - had it's strengths, but none felt right. So, yesterday I tried out Power Yoga Evolution in North Andover, MA. Right away - the energy was great. Rob, the owner, greeted me with a big smile. I signed in and then put down my mat. The studio was hot. Madonna was playing. I loved it.
The class was phenomenal. I was in the flow. My body felt great, and I was pushing the edge more than usual. I felt strong and powerful. At the end of class, I was wrung out and full of energy. Even today - my joints and muscles feel great. Yesterday's class was something special. Rob has a simple yet unique way of balancing the body The class felt very well coordinated and thoughtful on Rob's part. I'm still feeling the incredible effects today. It's not often that I extol the virtues about a class or teacher. I think everyone has something to teach me. Though, I do have a handful of favorites, each for a certain time in my life. Now I feel as though I've found my new yoga home. I can't wait to practice there again!
